A few months ago I posted about doing a bridal session special. I had some great responses from it. So what is a bridal session you ask?
The Bridal Session
The bridal session is a photo session centered around the bride (usually sans groom) in her wedding dress that take place usually prior to the wedding day (although it can take place after).
This is a personal preference. Many clients have said they were glad they do the bridal session. It’s nice to walk around in the dress and some brides discover that they need something adjusted. We’ll have an opportunity to take photos by yourself in your dress on your wedding day, but it won’t be at a leisurely and extended pace.
I recommend scheduling your bridal session with me as far in advance as possible. The actual session should take place at least 6 weeks before your wedding day if you want to tweak anything. If you schedule it after your wedding day, I recommend doing so before you have your dress professionally cleaned and stored depending on the location you are wanting as your your backdrop. If you do schedule it after your wedding, it’s more like a “mess the dress” or “trash the dress” session and you can include your groom in them.
For Brittany’s bridal session, since her wedding was a couple years ago, we actually had more of a mess the dress session and had a little fun with some accessories. The weather and leaves changing were perfect for the plaid and cloak.
